R chemistry: Study Guide on Solution and Solubility

Review all the preambles since the last test!

How do you calculate solution concentration?
What are the size of particles for a solution, colloid, suspension?  Describe each of them.
How does the Tyndall effect identify a colloid?
What is the difference between:
-    Solute vs. solvent
-    Soluble vs. insoluble
-    Saturated vs. supersaturated
-    Homogeneous vs. heterogeneous

How do you read a solubility curve?  What does a solubility curve tell you?
Why does the slope of solubility curves for solids and gases reverse?

Study Guide for H Chem: Test on Ch 5

Honestly, the best study guide is going to be the chemical nomenclature packet.  We have gone over the answers to the first 9,  and will finish going over the answers to the rest on Thursday. Please ask questions in class if you need more clarification and review.

Good luck,
Ms. Yi
