Hello everyone,
I have been MIA for a week, bc on that first Monday out of school, I got into a major car accident. There were 5 cars (i think) involved, and amazingly, even getting hit 4 times, i walked away from the accident, no scrapes. The right side of my neck is a little sore, but everything else seemed to go away after sleeping a week straight.
Unfortunately, my car (morton) was totalled and it was sad to see him get towed away to car heaven. The insurance gave me a good quote on my car, so starting later this week I’m going to do some car shopping with my parents. I think this is a sign from God to really (really) rest. I’m sorta stranded at home bc no car, and it has forced me to rest, slow down my life and extended time to read my bible.
As for my health, thank you everyone for asking. I’m doing much better, esp since I was able to sleep a week straight. I’m resting, and it feels so strange not having all of you to greet me each day. I know it was a little hectic, each of your with your own special situations, and it feels rather lonely when you are suddenly parted from 200 of your dear students.
I hope class is going well. Again, i am so heartbroken to have left you all in the middle of the year. Please keep up the energy and curiosity in learning chemistry. That will make me the most happy.
One note about quarter and semester grades. If your semester grade was lower than your 2nd quarter grade, i gave you the higher grade for the semester. I wanted to reward those who worked hard 2nd quarter to bring up your grades. I curved the final, and took the 2nd highest score for each period, as always. For the most part, (after the curve
) you all did very well, and i am very proud of your grades and very proud to have been your teacher.
I’m opening comments on this post as well as reading all your posts on my”leave a message” tab. I miss hearing you all say, hi ms. yi, every morning. My dog can’t really do it that well.
I’ll come by when I get my car. Until then, vanilla ice cream forever..
With hope, Ms. Yi

MISS YI! we miss you terribly! its horrible!!!!!!! chemistry is not as exciting as it use to be. if this makes you feel better your 4th period class talks about how much we miss you. how we took advantage of the moment we had you. we miss you terribly. its basically torture going to class with no miss yi. our teacher right now isnt that educated in chemistry so the stuff is really dry and no one gets it. as kayla would say “Mr. Parker! Its just not sticking can you teach like Ms Yi.” and we all get very down in the dumps since you arent there. he gives us soooooo much RTNs every night. Its pointless, since it doesnt stick. sighhh..
i am praying that you will recove ASAP. also i am very sorry for the car accident!!!!! get better!!! rest up!!!!! get ice cream!!!! and and… blue berries since they are good for your eyes. >_> ohhh… and kimchi. :] i am having kimchi fired rice for dinner. and i thought of you. hoping you post some more updates.
we love you
all of us, 4th period.
